What's Happening In This Picture?

I wonder what is going on with this lady? I know she's grocery shopping, but there is always something going on beneath the surface, and I wonder what that something is with her?

I ‘ve been looking at this picture everyday for a few weeks now, because it's posted by the grocery list I never use at the bottom of this page. I put it there to remind me of what I need from the store. After I wrote the post about my getting trapped with my hand under the bathroom faucet, I decided to post the list as a reminder of what I needed from the store. It was the day I cut my finger and couldn't move my hand away from the faucet because of the lack of one band-aid in the house! For some reason, especially lately, I can’t remember what to get from the grocery store. For example, this week I forgot cat food three times, milk once, and bread, too many times to count!

I thought if I put a reminder in a place I look everyday, I would stop forgetting stuff, and what better place than A Nice Place In The Sun!

I love coming to my blog now, well…I always have, I don’t know why I said “now” like I didn't like coming before? Oh well, what I was saying was, A Nice Place In The Sun has become one of my favorite places to hang around. This childish blog is where my friends come to visit, and read my never-ending childhood memories and take part in my silly questions.

This blog has offered me a perfect way to find friends with good character, because my readers have to have excellent dispositions in order to read the content. I’m working hard to make Anpits a great place for me to work all day, in addition to a great place to visit, ... because a life without friendship would be so boring and sad... What in the world am I rambling was about ?

Do you see what I mean about the character of my readers? To survive while reading my posts you must be both kind and patient. Because you have to be able to cipher through posts in order to understand what the post topic is, then wait for me to get around to writing it!

I'm sorry, and I plan on getting better- The subject of my post today is another "talk my friends into participating post!" What I 'm now asking you to do is answer the following question in reference to the cartoon above, it's a participation topic I'll call, What's happening in the picture? If you have fun playing you can return every Friday to play, just like we do every Tuesday with Tuesday's Question!

What do you think is happening in this picture? Here's what I think ….

I think the store manager just asked her to leave because she took her dog with her inside the store! You can’t bring a dog in the grocery store, at least not where I live! Moreover, you can tell her little boy is a wild child. I'm sure he's already had a blast knocking down cereal in the cereal aisle, and sliding on his knees into other people's carts ! Can't you hear him in the cart now?

"Wheee! Push harder and faster Mom, Blueberry is catching up! " (Is the the dog blue on your computer screen? )

What I think is hilarious is the look on her face. She looks as if someone has offended her! It's a great picture, so I could go on and on, but I would rather know what you think. What do you think has happened, is already happening, or is going to happen to this zany woman? I'll met everyone in comments, and I can't wait for your answers!

Ann, I love this!! It's fun, great for a weekly post idea! Your blog really gets the imagination going! It's totally fabulous! (OK, I'll stop with that, lol)

This is my warped interpretation of the picture...her kid is driving her so nuts that she brought the dog into the grocery store with her (because she wasn't thinking, lol) She's ready to have a nervous breakdown...and her husband is probably at home right now watching football and having a beer!

Christy, You're my first commentor for "What's Happening In The Picture" (I just noticed a typo) LOL!

Your answer is great! I couldn't wait for you to comment on it! Talk about an imagination. It does seem like she bought everything she touched in the store, because she couldn't think straight! (Laughing)

Plus, you have a point about Dad, because the little boy looks like he may be doing a little acting act, doesn't he? ROTFL!

Thank you for being my first commenter for my new weekly post! I'm going to have to get you the best Christmas present ever! Wait, your birthday is before Christmas isn't it? And don't ever stop giving me compliments! I live for them! I know what you mean though, I feel like that with you too! It's like you feel like you're saying it too much, right? lol! I hate that!

Thanks a million for the comment. You started my day and my "new weekly post idea" off perfect! :)

Have a great day! (hugs)

Another fun thing Ann. Okay, I'll give this a go.

I see a mother who is stressed out with all her responsibilities. She has her two charges that are having a good time, but she isn't.

She needs to get the shopping done, loaded into the car and then unloaded at home and put away. More cleaning and picking up after the son and dog, then there's dinner to make. There is a husband coming home that expects a clean house and dinner on the table.

I just see a mom who has tons of responsibilities that repeats its self day after day after day.

We all know the routine so well, don't we? Sandee you are such a good sport! lol! Thank you! I loved your comment, like I always do! :)

Have a great day! Ann

P.S, By the way in case you didn't see where I said it on my other comment, I was delighted to see you receive The Rising Blogger award! I really am. Congrats, you so deserve it!

Sorry to offend anybody with delicate sensibilities, but it looks to me like she just let a little SBD and is thinking "I really hope that guy in Produce didn't smell that".

LOL..I think that looks like me when I take Z to the store with me!!

She looks VERY frazzled!! LOL..like she spent WAY more money than she planned to. Then her animal loving son finds a lost puppy and begs her to keep it. She would have said "no" but seeing as she loves animals as much as he does she reluctently says "yes". She already knows she will be the caretaker of the puppy, nevermind what is her husband going to say.

Ann, I think the poor woman is completely spaced out - she is unaware of her overactive son and crazy dog and does her shopping while tuning them out!

diamond, LOL! I know what you mean. In a way, it looks like all of us Mom's, doesn't it? And she does look like she spent WAY more money than planned! LOL! Great comment!

Have a nice day!

Ann, I'm cracking up laughing! It's like I can relate to everybody's response! Every time I go to the grocery store I'm spaced out! It's some kind of serious problem! I'm in the middle of posting about it right now. LOL! I stopped because I remembered I hadn't responded to your comment. lol That is too funny!

Didn't do this before but give it a try: I see a mum who had a life of haute couture, champagne parties and who had a secretary job where she got daily praised.
This turned into a life of getting her daily groceries in her old faded dress, while her darling boy is putting a show on. While her best compagnion these days, doggie, is plotting along.

Marja, Wow! I found your comment very touching. Thank you so much for your reply. It is great! I'm glad you didn't pass it up twice. :)

Have a great day!

Hello Ann: You have a wonderful imagination, it never ever occurred to me to look at the expressions on their faces, even after tutoring in Composition for so long, Lol!

However, you imagination and descriptions of the dog, the woman's and boy's expressions made my day; I suppose I must be an unimaginative, blind bat :P

Take care! Sorry for my late comment...... :(

Thank you Winston! You are quickly becoming one of my best blogging buddies! That was the best compliment! One that I will ride on for days! And as far as your "late" comment? I don't care when I get a compliment like that when I get it! lol!

Have a great evening!

P.S. I just realized you might think this is Tuesdays question? It's not, Tuesday's question will resume on Tuesday, you didn't miss it. This is something new I will post every Thurs. I believe this post says Fri. But I'm going to change it. So I hope I see you Tuesday, o.k.?
