Happy Halloween!

This is Taylor, my son, when he still went trick or treating with me. He is lucky Luke in the bottom picture, and obviously Superman in the top one. That's me in my witches costume in the tip top picture. Taylor is now 21 and refuses to go Trick or Treating with me anymore. So now my Halloween's are more about tricks, than candy and stuff. That is if you don't count the times I really wanted to go, and went on my own. I actually did get lots of candy those times, because no one knew that my son wasn't at home in bed with a bad cold.

Happy Trick or Treating!

If You Could Choose A Magical Power, What Would It be? My Readers Response

Way to go Samantha! Wouldn't it be great to be Samantha, I Dream Of Jeanie, Wonder Woman, etc... just for one day? For one thing, I wouldn't have to regret the way I phrased yesterdays Question. I complicated it by including "super hero" and "magical power" in the same sentence. Which would have been a problem at all if I could "stop and start time" as Patois from Whee All The Way Home suggested as her magical power. I need to remember to stick to the original Tuesday's Question format, and ask one question every week, instead of three!

Oh well, fiddle de de dum, "I shan't think of it today, I'll think of it tomorrow" or whatever Scarlett said, another super hero of mine, besides Samantha, of course. Wait a minute... there I go again, Samantha was not a super hero, she had magical powers, geez... Although, I guess she can also be my super hero, as all of you who play Tuesday's Question are my heroes.

Anyway, If I didn't scare everyone off for next week, I plan on returning to posting one question, at a time, I promise.

Thanks to all of you for answering my THREE questions as if you had all the time in the world.

Here are my true super heroes comments with a link to their blogs. Links you should visit, if you haven't already, because you'll quickly see for yourself why I think of them/you as magical people.

Here is my first comment from my super hero as well as magical friend, From Sandee from Comedy Plus:

Wonder Woman's lasso of truth. I would love that. Can't lie to me!

Well, let me see. This is going to be a big shock, but it's Tom Selleck that I would like to take out on the town. Oh yeah!

Storm from X-Men because I like being the leader. Okay, she's hot too and that's a plus.

Fun questions Ann! I enjoyed your answers. I'd love to know more about why you chose Will Ferrel and Cheri OTeri. I LOVED those two on SNL.

Next is the hilarious and sweet Polli from Polliwog's Pond,

Fun questions Ann! I enjoyed your answers. I'd love to know more about why you chose Will Ferrel and Cheri OTeri. I LOVED those two on SNL. My answers. Superpower: I would like the ability to make anything happen by blinking like Jeannie in I Dream Of Jeannie. I loved that show when I was little! Celebrity to take on the town: I'd like to go out with my women bloggy buddies like you, Christy and Mimi. Superhero I am most like: I guess I'd have to pick Wonder Woman because she was based on the legends of the Amazon Women, and at nearly 6 feet tall, I probably look like an Amazon Woman. LOL

The funny and wonderful student and Mom, (talk about guts) Janice, from Twist And Skewer

I could answer this question many ways, but I'll stick to two. Because I am a college student I wish I had a photogenic memory. Because I am a mother to teens and a wife I wish I could have the invisibility power. Muahahahaha. :)

And of course, My buddy Patois, from Whee All The Way Home who spoke of the "stop and start time"magic I quoted.

I'm going to have to go for being able to stop and start time, including going back in time. I'll be taking Bruce Springsteen with me wherever I go. In fact, I'll spend my time back in time going to his concerts. I guess I'm most like Samantha Stevens, then, as she could go back and forth in time. (I'm recalling the colonial times, for example, when she was locked up.) Great questions, Ann.

My good friend Marja, from Dutchcorner

Hi Ann Oh what a funnie question. I always liked to have a magic wand. To change lot of things with a single touch. For example tidy my home with one tick. So a wizard would be good. I don't want celebreties to go out with. Don't know which ones are to be fun with in real life any way. You count as a celebrity so there you go.

And last, but certainly not least the hilarious Winston from Eat Your Maths. Winston didn't just wish to have powers, he acted them out!

Ann!!! Hope u got my comment... It's highly embarrassing, I dunno why, maybe it did not get through. Hmm..

Mine was Power Rangers. Full of justice, Mr Fong watched it and worshipped it when he was young, and used a stick to hit the TV, right smack where the bad Power Ranger stood. Ouch.

My parents were out, so...

I did more. I tried to spray Sprite on it (what a waste of money, LOL...), but shook it so vigorously out of anger that it exploded over myself before I could spray it on the Naughty, Horrible and Terrible Power Ranger!!!

Thank you all for taking the time out of your busy days to leave your lively and imaginative comments to Tuesdays Question. Have a fun day!

If You Had The Chance To Choose A Super Hero Or Magical Power What Would It be?

Hello, and welcome newcomers and regular readers to Tuesdays Question.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Tuesday's Question, it's a weekly post I started a few months ago, in an effort to connect with you, my readers, and spread a little link love. Also, I hope by posting your comments the following day it will work like a blog review. This way, while everyone is learning about your blog, we're also learning about the author behind your blogs title, which is you. That's right, I post the comments to my Tuesday's Question post the following day with a link back to the responding blogs.

Plus, I want to remind and encourage all of you to comment on each others comments as well, you know, as if we're engaged in conversation. But most of all I want you to be sure and have fun!

Although, I didn't use it for the main title, today's question asks how you would respond to three questions from a magical Wizard, which are...

If you had your choice of a super or magical power, what would it be?

What living celebrity would you like to take out on the town to celebrate your new super hero status? Or just take out on the town ?

And what super hero already created are you most alike?

My answers after the read more...

I would like to have the power pop in and out of places, like Betwitched, and take Cheri Oteri or Will Farrow out on the town. As far as a super hero I am most alike, I think... I'm probably more like Spiderman. Except, for some reason, I've related to Robin from Batman and Robin, lately...but, I'm not sure why?

Thanks for playing and have a fantastically fun day!

Aussie Cynics Integrity

I thought,The Little Aussie Cynic deserved its own post title, because this blog is one of the happiest places to visit on the internet. Aussie is one of my first blogging buddies in the blogosphere. I met her on blog catalog when I hardly knew anyone, and knew less about what I was doing than I do now. Can you imagine that? It was a scary experience, and the blogs author, Aussie, was so kind, reaching out to me then, as she is reaching out to me and others now, in a rare and personable manner, a manner that could put a wild boar at ease. She is responsible for a lot of my early happy memories writing A Nice Place In The Sun.

Plus, have you seen Aussie's blogs new template? The ocean colored background is warm and inviting, very much in keeping with the atmosphere the author has consistently portrayed since I first read her blog.

I hope I didn't embarrass you Aussie, I just wanted to publicly thank you for thinking of me, and I was blown away by a nomination for creativity.

Here's Aussie's post:

"After looking, reading and watching many many Blogs and bloggers I decided to issue some recognition to those fellow bloggers I feel maintain integrity in the Blogs.

bannercreator-nu-1.gif

All these bloggers incorporate within their wonderful sites, an integrity not always seen.

They share terrific stories, topics, discussions and images. All Well worth a look.

So in the spirit of Wonderful blogs

I would like to award the Bloggers with Integrity Award

to:

For The Spirit of Giving

The Santa Community Blog

For Staying True To Their Beliefs

The Painted Veil

For Social Conscience

Go Smell The Flowers

Keeping it Real

Go Paisley

So congratulations to all and keep up the fabulous work you do…. We love it!"

And Aussie we love you! In honor of Aussie's really inspiring and heartfelt gesture, I would like to award the following blogs in keeping with her format. I really liked the thought and effort Aussie put into each category, so I wanted to honor her by doing the same thing.

So without further rambling, and much hand wringing here are my choices... That is after this brief update, on Oct.30...

I would like to add that after this post was written this award made a real impact on the blogging community. It is hopping around like a cat trying to keep its balance on a slippery rooftop! After nominating Sandee from Comedy Plus in the "Spirit Of Giving" category", Aussie turned around and awarded Sandee for the same category on her blog that I nominated Aussie for in the Social Conscience category entitled, Coillision of the Willing. Now, tell me that's not some hopping around nominations. It's just like I predicted, the award is so personable blogs you know with these qualities instantly pop in your head after you read the the category. Congrats Aussie on the success of Bloggers With Integrity. And thank you Sandee from Comedy Plus for also awarding me in the category, "For The Spirit of Giving." Anyway, here is the list of my recipients...

I would like to pass on Aussie's Integrity Award to the following Bloggers...

Happy Saturday!

What Would We Do Without Friendship?

A really nice person helped me with my web site clean-up by installing the peek-a-boo posts for me. Now, if you like the summary of what might be a long post you have the choice to either continue reading, or move on to the next post. The peek-a-boo posts also offer bloggers an opportunity to post more material on their title page each day. Because, I'm a complete techno nin com poop, this blogging buddy rescued me and you, my readers, from long title page posts! Can you guess who this friend is....

It's Sandee from Comedy Plus!

In addition, I'd like to thank google for my very first ranking! Now, I feel like a real webmaster; a member of the google team, and that's something to celebrate. That is thanks to friends like Sandee, my best bud Christy, from ChristysCoffeeBreak, without whose blogging tips I would have be lost long ago. I've been real lucky in these first months of blogging, to have these friendships, in addition to many others not mentioned here. I hope you know who you are. Thanks for offering me a helping hand and putting up with my silly questions and antics each day.
This day, like all the special days we celebrate, would not be possible without the help, encouragement, and love, given freely by my friends. Thanks to all of you I'm having a great year!

The Mariuca Super Star Award!

My very best buddy Christy from Christy's Coffee Break nominated me for the Mariuca's Superstar award! I love it, love it, love it Christy!

When I read the award title I thought of a Saturday Night Live character who says I love it, love it, love it, as she kicks her legs in the air! She's kidding, well actually overacting to be funny, but I wasn't when I danced around my living room with my groovy new award, reciting I love it, love it, love it!

Evidently, Mariuca's readers missed her enough to leave comments when she was away, so she created this award to thank them. As I read Mariuca post, I realized how considerate and kind bloggers can be, or I should say friends can be. Good bloggers use the opportunity to write in a positive way, a way that makes a real difference in the lives of others every day.

I think those are the bloggers Mariuca is referring to as Superstars! Thank you Christy for thinking of me as one of those bloggers, and thank you Mariuca for creating this award. Mariuca seems like a special person, and I know Christy's friendship is a virtue. I'm happy to be on the planet with these two woman.

The Friendly Site Award!

Speedycat Hollydale is one of the nicest new friends I've met lately. And I'm not saying this because he gave me an award, ...well, no, it's because he is a nice and funny blogger, with a great sense of humor, a funny bone that runs in the family according to his post on Santa's Community blog.Evidently, on a shopping trip during the holiday's, Speedy's eyebrows were still painted from playing Santa, but nobody told him. It's a really funny post, and I think he's going to be a fun fellow blogger. I look forward to more laughs Speedy and I thank you for your generous heart.

Speedy was given this really nice award by Erina from Into The Inkpot, (isn't that a neat name?)

Erina tried to find the creator of the award to give them credit, but was unable to to find out where it originated. So please, if it's you or you know where we can credit the link, please let someone know. It's really pretty and a nice thought so everyone wants to thank the creator.

I think the following blogs are spectacular on top of being friendly:

Christy'sCoffeeBreak the best of the best
Totally Fabulous

Thanks again Speedy.

What Famous Leader Are You?

The top images are my test results for the following questions What famous leader are you?
and What Classic Movie Are You?

Because inquiring minds want to know ... I just finished reading a meme by Adrian at First Time Dad that included a question from a personality test site. The question reminded me of the kind of questions I ask on my weekly post Tuesday's Question. Except, these test questions tell you how your personality best matches your answers, as opposed to an answer you think best describes you.

Can a personality test answer questions about our personality better than we can answer them ourselves? Maybe so, and maybe not, but some of the results are pretty accurate and most the sites pretty popular.

I posted a brain function test yesterday, entitled Are you right or left brained? That one, was right on the money for me and most of you that answered. And irregardless of the opposing or supportive literature, theories and sites, the bottom line is we love taking tests. Besides, we know if we're answering the questions honestly, and if the test results are most like us. after all we know us better than anybody, right?

On the other hand, maybe not, since I would've never guessed the top results for me.
Even so, I'm still not sure I want to know the accuracy, it may spoil the fun. (Take the risk out of it.)

When I was a teenager, my friends and I used to answer questions in cosmopolitan and other popular magazines. Which goes to show, the publics interest in personality tests aren't anything new, or a thing of the past.

I think we want to understand the ways we're similar and find common ground on which to relate. Because we're social creatures, social acceptance and community are the basis of who we are and how we understand each other. The connections we make due to our similarities, in turn, influence how appreciative and tolerate we are of our differences.

Bottom line: we want to take the tests because they're fun, and we want to know and care about each other. Maybe, that's why this site is called Similarminds, because we are more alike than we realize. Celebrating our differences, while making a connection through our similarities is what I hope all of us get from Tuesday's Question. It does seem like I know everyone who regularly participates better each week. And that's because when we answer questions about our memories, experiences, and opinions, we open a window to our character.

I think this is the reason these tests do well with pinpointing the characteristics we share with famous people, because they examine the way in the questions are answered.

So go find out some things about yourself, first by stopping byFirst Time Dad and reading his meme. Then Similarminds.com to take these tests, and let me know how you did. Plus, don't forget to play Tuesdays Question, because you never know what I'm going to come up with next, the competition's getting stiff.

Oh, and for the record I'm not sure that the "power and options" comment is the way I'd like to think I'm most like JFK. What about the other obvious characteristics we share? Lol, whatever.

Are You Left or Right Brained? Happy Saturday Fun!

The Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

Are right or left brained? If you see the image turning clockwise then you use more of your right brain than your left and vice versa.

I see it turning clockwise, which makes me right brained. What do you see?

For a detailed list of right and left brain functions check out Herald Sun!

And have a happy Saturday!

My Blogging Buddies Blew Me Away With Their Comments

I was blown away yesterday by the comments to Tuesday's Question. My friends, you displayed such creative ingenuity and hilarity. I had to pinch myself between laughs to make sure I wasn't dreaming. What really got to me was how honest and down to earth you all were. I really am impressed and grateful that each and every one of you are my friends and fellow bloggers.

This weekly post is fun and ninety-nine percent of the reason is because of you, my talented comrades. I'm glad you're my readers and grateful you're my friends. Have a nice week and weekend, and be sure and have lots of great fun! However, judging by these comments, it looks as if great fun shouldn't be such a hard thing for any of you to do!

Tuesday's Question: What Is Your Favorite Age, and Guiltiest Pleasure?

Sandee from Comedy Plus Answered First:

13 Comments - Show Original Post Collapse comments

Sandee (Comedy +) said...

The greatest time in my life (except for now) was when I came of age in 1969. I wanted to be a flower child in San Francisco. Off I went to the big city, long hair, headband complete with a flower. I roamed all over the city, lived in a commune and basically did nothing productive for about two months. It was a big thrill at the time. Free love and peace was my mantra. I'll leave it at that.

I have lots of guilty pleasures now. Blogging with my buddies (you know who you are), boating and being with my husband. I enjoy my champagne and pasta. I've worked all my life to be able to enjoy these things. I just wish I could have champagne and pasta whenever I wanted. Sigh..., but this time of my life is the absolute best!

Patois at Whee! All The Way Home

The spring and summer I was 16. A great group of friends. Lots of freedom. Lots of laughing. And a boy I was madly in love with. Ahhhh.

Dawn with Twisted Sister
I think I would have to say the best time of my life was when I was 18.
My guilty pleasures...My freedom and lots of boys! Funny but they didn't feel like guilty pleasures back then!

Christy at Christys Coffee Break

Hi Ann,

Good to know that you're insane, lol, I'm just kidding...haha....I love that you danced in water fountains!

Well my favorite age is right now. Weird I know. But most of my life I've been very unhappy dealing with my childhood. Finally after over thirty years I'm actually over it!! Yippee. Throw that together with me finding my true love in writing and you've got one happy Christy on a super big Coffee Break. LoL.

I see a bright future where there was once only darkness. :)

My guiltiest of the guilty pleasures would be massive amounts of coffee. Oh and let's not forget my chocolate addiction, lol.

Luv You Ann, have a great night:)

Oh and Sandee...That is the coolest thing I've ever heard!! I wish I could have been a flower child! Peace:)

Marja at Dutchcorner

My best age was about 25. I was free earned good money and with that came my guiltiest pleasures;
partying partying and partying.
We went for weekends to Antwerpen Brussel in Belgie, to Paris and The Hague.....to party and men we did

Paula at Polliwog's Pond

Love your answers Ann. I enjoyed being a kid and I loved having my babies, so I guess my favorite ages so far were 6, 22, 23, 24, 29, 31, and 34. Hee hee!

Actually I think 40 is going to be my favorite age. I'm not too young, not too old and finally have stuff figured out.

My guilty pleasures are staying up too late, chocolate, enormous margarita's, buying new computer stuff, and laughing loudly!

Winston at Eats Your Math

I always sneak talking to myself, haha. I always talk to myself in the bathroom, anywhere, maybe even teaching maths to myself! *ashamed*

Haha, hope you are well? I'm so sorry I was late for it, I missed it.. :(

Thank you all again for making me laugh. I really had a great time reading your comments. And Winston you weren't too late. In addition, I loved your comment. It is so honest, which is what one should be when writing. Good Job All of you have a great day. :)

What is Your Favorite Age And Guiltiest Pleasure At That Age And Now?

What is your favorite age and guiltiest pleasure at that age and now? Welcome to Tuesday's Question and thanks to all of you for your continued support!

This weeks question deals with cheap thrills and guilty pleasures, the likes of which we share among friends who will not judge us and love us anyway... we hope. You can answer a piece, part, or all of the question, just be sure and have fun while you're answering it. Here's my answer:

My guiltiest pleasure now is ice cream, wine, and more ice cream. I have been known to sneak a cigarette from time to time. I know, I know, cigarettes are terrible and I stopped smoking years ago, but I enjoy one occasionally especially with an old friend mulling over old times... or a new friend, beginning new times, or with a class of wine ...

My favorite age or ages are 22, 27, and now. When I was in my twenties I loved to dance in water fountains, make believe I was other people in public, and ring doorbells then run when someone answered. Yes, my ex husband and I actually rang door bells when I was 23 and pregnant with our son. He was the getaway driver and I rang the bells. Although most of the time, he left me standing outside or running after the car when someone answered the door. We also danced in public water fountains, and pretended to be other people with real estate marketers. Sometimes real estate marketers looked for tourists to buy and sell property in our hometown. They gave out gifts of money or dinner to couples who would go on their property tours, so this is the time I'm speaking of when we pretended to be different people. We didn't just walk around pretending to be other people, that would be weird. Now that I've embarrassed myself, what childish antics are you or were you up to, and what is your favorite age?

I've been awarded the Community Blogger Award by my good friend Dawn at Twisted Sister, in addition to my other good friend Sandee at Comedy Plus who included me in her community award list in her acceptance post. Thanks to you both!

I love the ideology behind this award and I'm thrilled that these two ladies would think of me when passing it along. The community award originated with Cellobella at the Sultana blog, who said, "I wanted the award to say - this is a person who reaches out and makes my blogger community a better one." I think that is so kind and I'm thrilled to be in the position to pass it along as well as be included in the blogroll.

Cellobella asks that nominees of this award e-mail her at (cellobella at gmail dot com) so that she can add your nominees to her blogroll. I will add the following bloggers.

Happy Sunday!

Warming the Globe Through Friendship

I love this link list I read awhile back on Vic Grace's blog Cariboo Ponderer entitled Warming the globe through Friendship. When I first read it, I liked it so much, I planned on returning to join and write a post, however, this and that got in the way, and well, I simply got sidetracked. However, what impressed me about the list, was Vic Grace's simple desire to spread friendship throughout the blogosphere. She didn't add any specific rules or requests, except for the little badge that went along with it's intention.

Anyway, I went about my business until my good friends Sandee from Comedy Plus, and Christy from Christy's Coffee Break passed it to me in a post on their blogs.

Now Vic Grace is the author of another link list of friendship in which she added A Nice Place In The Sun. Therefore, I'm going to tag Christy and Sandee and some more great blogging buddies to help continue my new friend Viv Graces viral linking lists.

Isn't it something that Viv Grace's dream of spreading friendship through the blogosphere has worked? I hope the fact that I'm posting two lists within one post is not too confusing. But I'll leave the links with each list so that you can read the original post. That way, if you would like to pass one or both lists on you will know more about their background. If you don't see your name on either list, Vic Grace says it's o.k. to add yourself and pass it along to the blogs you read on a regular basis.

Or at least I think that's what she said, if it isn't, you'll see this post suddenly disappear into the blogosphere and I will be embarrassed. :)

Happy friendship and thank you Vic Grace for the authoring this great idea. In addition, thank you Christy and Sandee for thinking of me when reading the original post.

Readers Response To Tuesday's Question: What's Your Craziest Teenage Experience Or Memory?

Anyone who has parented a teen-ager can relate to the mother in this picture. This Mom clearly hasn’t the foggiest idea what these kids are talking about, or she's wondering whether to believe them or not.
In turn, teenagers haven’t a clue what their parents are saying either, that is if they’re listening at all. The cartoonist Charles Schultz had the right idea about how children hear grown-up voices, when he had them say, Bloc, Bloc, bloc, bloc …
Now that I'm a grown-up and parent myself it sends chills down my spine when I think of the stuff I put my parents through. They must have had chills when I walked out the door...
I knew this would be a fun question because we do such wild and crazy things when we are kids, due to the lack of grown-up judgment and impulse control. The following bloggers had me cracking up yesterday with their experiences, thank you all for making Tuesdays Question such fun! In addition, I noticed a few new participants that added life of the party! I hope you enjoyed yourself and will come back next week for some more inquisitive fun!
Thanks again, for your responses and continued loyalty to Tuesday’s Question:
Here are your comments:
What's Your Craziest Teenage Memory Or Experience?

My first comment from Winston, Eat Your Maths

Haha, I was 14 when I jumped down from a rock cave for abseiling (of course, I was attached to a rope!!!!!!) Needless to say my scream caused some hearing casualties.

Have been missing you at Eatyourmaths for a while... ;p

Hi Ann,
What is your email address? I have something that I would like to discuss with you.
Mine is: info@mondaymorningpower.com
My good Friend Sandee at Comedy Plus
Well, I didn't get out much living on a farm, but I did sneak out often. I would guess the craziest thing my girlfriend and I did is steal her mothers car and went joy-riding. Well, sure enough we ran into a cop. We were parked outside a small store and of course I was driving. Well, the cop drives by slowly and looks at the both of us and instead of going the opposite direction I pulled onto the road behind him. He didn't pay any attention to us after that. Scared us half to death it did. :)

My other good friend Dawn, or insanity suits me, at Twisted Sister Totally Pissed Off
Well Ann.... it involved a car... a boy... a big hill... a little alcohol... and a lot of stupidity. That's all I'm saying! LOL

New friend Misty Dawn at My Dog Keeps Me Sane
I just discovered your blog. I've already subscribed to it, because I think I'm gonna like it here!

My new and old friend Patois at
Whee! All The Way Home
Craziest? Way too many qualify. I'll tell of one. Driving down back roads, speeding, with a bunch of teens in the car, no one drunk -- how rare that was -- and turning off the lights. Pitch black, hurtling through space, screaming. Oh, yeah, gives me spine chills fearing my offspring will attempt something as crazy/stupid/moronic.

My new and old friend Dan at dcr blogs I've got ironic, I've got melancholy, I've got scary and I've got angsty, but nothing comes to mind for crazy.

Which is unfortunately, because I might have shared crazy. ;-)

My new friend Janice at Twist And Skewer
Writing an underground Newspaper against the vice-principal's principles. Or rather lack there of. I used school paper and mimeograph machine to print it on. Man was VP peeved and no one narced. I know my journalism teacher knew who wrote them. It was fun plus I was 17 and thought I was fighting for justice in our high school community. Hehe.

And last but certainly not least the hilarious Bob at Bobbarama.com
Me and five friends got busted by a cop while we were skinny dipping in the local public swimming pool at 2 in the morning.

He put that big cop car searchlight on us ... felt like we had suddenly become part of some HOllywood premiere, except, of course that we were naked and wet and scared ... and told us we didn't need to bother grabbing our clothes because we were going to jail dressed the way we were, meaning with nothing on.

We panicked, grabbed our clothes, jumped the fence and started running down the neighborhood street, flinging water from our bodies everywhere as we went.

We were laughing probably because the whole thing was suddenly so absurd, the cop car was squealing around the corner and he was yelling at us with that bullhorn in his car, dogs were barking, lights were going on in the houses on the street ... BUT in the end (no pun intended) we leaped fences and got away.

Woo hoo!

Crazy man, and wild and crazy folks thanks again and I hope to see you next week.

Don't forget to click on each others links and each your veggies!

Last, last, but certainly not least, least my dear friend Christy, at ChristysCoffeeBreak

Fun as always around here Ann!

At the time it didn't seem crazy but we used to go down the the beach and start bonfires using the broken down fence. Sometimes we'd go skinny dipping.

Of course being the practical teenager I was I'd tie my underwear to my ankles so I wouldn't have to get in or out of the water naked, lol.

One day we realized we had no more fence left to burn. We were a crazy group. Where the heck were our parents?

Thanks Christy!

Tuesdays Question? : What's Your Craziest Teenage Experience Or Memory?

Hello and welcome to another Tuesday’s Question! If this is the first time you’ve read Tuesday’s Question you don’t know what I’m talking about, and if you’re returning to Tuesday’s Question, thank you for coming back!

Tuesday’s Question is my way of connecting with my readers and sharing a little link love every week. If you’re a reader and not a blogger you will be a part of tomorrows post, and if you’re a blogger the post will also include a link back to your blog!

I want to make a connection and express my appreciation for your friendship by passing some link love every week. Plus, I think it's solid that I learn something knew about you with each question, and hopefully you learn something new too, about me and each other.

I’m sorry I’m running behind again today and posting mid-morning instead of 6; 00 AM. I will do better, I’ve just been a little rubber fingered lately, and I don’t really know why. What is rubber fingered? I do not know I just made it up, but I bet you know what I mean. Anyway, I cannot wait to read your answers to this week’s question. I have a feeling I will be laughing all day, or if your experience is anything like mine, I may be petrified or both…

What's Your Craziest Teenage Experience?

My teenage crowd and I loved to play in our cars while driving down the road, or better yet, scare the living daylights out of our passengers! We did this by designating a driver to let go of the wheel, and slide to the passenger's side of the car, leaving the vehicle coasting down the highway, at a top speed of sixty miles an hour without a driver! Then, whoever sat directly behind the driver, would jump from the back seat to the front, and resume control of the car! This is the craziest memory I have or maybe the scariest of my teenage life, and it gives me chills when I think of it! Can you believe any of us lived through that experience?

That is the craziest memory I have although not my favorite. My favorite, is the one I wrote a post on, but I guess I was a young adult when the bats latched onto my head.

I was in such a hurry this morning that is the memory that popped in my head, which one pops into yours?

Digital Framez Portable DVD Player

Digital framez, spelled with a hanging z, is an online electronic store that sells portable DIVX compatible DVD players and digital photo frames. Their categories include all the different sized photo frames available in addition to the "portable 10 inch DVD player." The information rich site also has section on how the site works. Digital Framez specializes in my favorite product on the site, which is the 10-inch high quality portable DVD player

The portable 10-inch DVD player is an attractive mini-entertainment system that provides a way for users to listen to CD’s, watch movies, and view pictures from wherever they happen to be! For example, owners of the 10 inch portable DVD players are provided a means of instant entertainment for many occasions, such as picnics, long family trips, and boring meetings at the office.

Well, obviously the end of that sentence is a joke, the point of which was to show that the ways in which the portable 10-inch DVD player can be used, is limited only by the user’s imagination.

In addition as afore mentioned the player is DIVX compatible, with built in surround sound effects, stereo speakers, and Dolby Digital decoding. A Great Christmas present for all ages, and a must have for all families. Be sure to click on the words portable DVD player located in the top paragraph and check out the site; the 10 inch DVD portable player is posted on the main page.

October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

"Be the living Expression of God's kindness, in your face, your eyes, your smile,

your greeting.
Give not only your care but your heart."

Mother Teresa
In loving memory of Karen Short

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so I wanted to offer my support to breast cancer survivors and those battling this disease every year. According to " breastcancer.org, "Every three minutes a woman in the United States is diagnosed with breast cancer..."

In addition, we know the faces of those coping with this disease, they are our sisters, friends, aunts, mom's, co-workers, teachers, and grocery store clerks,...

I lost a dear friend one year, only to watch my mother begin her own terrifying battle with the same illness the following year. The fact that I have my mother here today is the result of the time and effort of someone's volunteer work and/or donation.

Bloggers have a real opportunity to help shine light on the web sites and campaigns that help raise money for research and support of Breast Cancer Awareness Campaigns.

The more money these campaigns raise, the more lives we help save through public awareness. The National Cancer Institute estimated "178,480 female and 2,030 male cases of breast cancer in the United States in the year 2007 in addition to 40,460 female and 450 male deaths" from the illness throughout the year.

I've included a link to breastcancer.org's Virtual Tea Party in addition to Carol Sutton's site where I copied this graphic and the graphic in my sidebar. Thank you Carol, and breastcancer.org for your information rich as well as compassionate sites.

Please be sure and visit breastcancer.org and click on the link to the Virtual Tea Party for more information on how to offer your support or attend the Virtual Tea Party which will be held on October 26th at 3;00 PM. (ET)

For the pink ribbon buttons and other breast cancer web clip art, check out Pink Ribbons by Carol Sutton which are used for address labels, brochures, in addition to web graphics, and images-

Thank you for reading, and I look forward to reading more posts in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

The above image was donated to Carol Sutton's site, here are Carol's words by the image:

"Pam Sawyer, herself a survivor, has made this framed soft edge pinkribbon with a single rose and and unsual top. Since January 25, 2003. Lovely ! {22k}Thank you Pam.Pam"

This was my favorite ribbon, but there are more at Pam's address, along with a place where you can leave a donation to her site.

Readers Response To Tuesday's Question, What Is Your Favorite Song?

It was a treat to have such an articulate group of bloggers all in one spot yesterday to answer Tuesday's Question. I'm in awe of every blogger who commented yesterday and know you will enjoy their answers ! If you've haven't read the following blogs, do yourself a favor and clink on their links, I personally guarantee you'll enjoy them. Have a great day, and be sure and eat your vegetables! (And yes Patois, potato chips count)

What
is your Favorite song?

Have fun!

My first comment is from Bob from Bobbarama
Uh ... this one? http://video.stumbleupon.com/#p=lrjtbjuuco Hee hee OK ... maybe ... this one? http://www.toilette-humor.com/the-man-song.html No, no, no ... this one! http://video.stumbleupon.com/#p=2xenssvv0t I know the drill. Going to my corner for five minutes of timeout. :)

Sandee from Comedy Plus
Now this changes with time and I have tons of favorites. I could probably make a very long list. But for todays question the answer is easy; Boyz II Men - End Of The Road. It's my all time fave when it plays on my MP3 during my morning walks. Now these guys can sing!

Patois from Whee! All The Way Home

It totally depends on my mood. Springsteen, for sure. Lately, it's "The Price You Pay" off his 1980 River album.

Christy, from Christys Coffee Break

I have four million favorite songs! I love music, I love lyrics. In the mood I'm in now I'd choose, Love Of My Life by Morten Harket, it's beautiful. :)

And last but certainly not least Winston for Eat Your Maths

I can't give you my answers as they are chinese songs :( So sorry :'(

Bob was nice enough to come back and leave a link for three hilarious tunes. (He says they're not his favorite songs, Smile.) I tried to embed them but couldn't get it to work. There are so funny, especially The Man Song! Here are the links!

Thanks Bobbarama!

The links didn't work in my comment, so I'll try again. These aren't my favorite songs, of course ... too many to choose from ... but they're fun.

Enjoy
