Babies Do Not Lie

Before my son was born I read dozens of parenting books and since I write for children I still read   books about early childhood; in which the opinions and theories of the authors differ on just how old children are when they begin to lie. Well, I couldn't think of a joke today for Silly Sunday, so I decided to tell a silly story instead, which according to my mother is true.

I am the youngest of three children. I have two older brothers, and the younger of the two was still in diapers when I was born.  My mother was having trouble potty training my brother (David) who should have been out of diapers by the time it was my turn, but he was still emotionally wrestling with my existence and naturally wished to remain the baby.

Anyway, when I was about eighteen months old I was almost potty trained, but one day I made a mistake and used my diaper which I'm told I knew was a big no-no.

Well, clearly my mother discovered my accident, and irritably asked me,

"Ann, why did you use your diaper when you know better?"

My reply?

"I didn't Mom, David did."

 :)

I hope you enjoyed my silly story and I would love to read yours, so be sure to click on the link above to Comedy Plus and get the Misty Linky code and join in the fun.

Whoops!

Note: I'm sorry, but my computer says that the Mister Linky tag is broken, so I cannot post the other participants links, but you can find the code by clicking on the "Silly Sunday" link at the beginning of this post.-  I've been having trouble with my computer all afternoon, so I'm sure it will not be a problem for you.

Now, I'm going to throw my computer out of my living room window, :)

I think you did a fine job. I'll bet it made your mother laugh.

I can't add your linky code. It won't let me alter your post. Oh well.

Have a fabulous day my friend. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Simon. ♥♥♥

Thank you, Sandee. I tried. And you're right, it did make my mother laugh. It still does...That's how I found out. She tells that story all of the time.

Thank you for trying to post the Mister Linky code. I do not know what it's problem is...I thought maybe you didn't have the new password, but it sounds like you signed it. In any event, it was nice of you to try it.

And, I love it when you like my posts. It makes me happy. :)

Simon and I send you "Big Hugs."

xoxo

Lost inside a state of mental and physical exhaustion, I prayed to meet an angel on earth, then, I felt the pillow of a horses mouth gently sweep grass from the palm of my hand. – Ann Clemmons

Words-

Words are the core of our souls, without written, vocal or lyrical expression we lose sight of one another or worse, ourselves. Words bring forth the essence of the human spirit; so express yourself without abandon.

I remember I used to half believe and wholly play with fairies when I was a child. What heaven can be more real than to retain the spirit-world of childhood, tempered and balanced by knowledge and common-sense...
