I Feel Like A Child With Tangled Hair In Her Face...

I wish this was a caricature of me, but it's not. Really, I just wish I was more organized, but I'm not, not even on a good day, week, or year.

Although, judging by the look on her face, I'm not sure why I ever tried to emulate her, because she looks sort of unhappy, and at least I'm happy.

Anyway, the image above this paragraph is a better caricature of me lately, well, actually, her desk resembles mine. (Because it's invisible.)

I have notebook paper full of sentences I might use later, in addition to manuscript drafts, titles, phone numbers, etc....Although the rest of my house or apt. is clean and sort of organized, my desk and the little office I've made for myself are not, and lately it's worse.

I'm not going to bore you with my computer troubles anymore, but I do hope you will forgive me for missing Tuesday's Question yesterday, and I will say that it's the computers fault.

I mean, I think my computer should be smart enough to realize that now was not the time to announce that it needed "more space,"  geez...I am the human, the computer is supposed to be the smart one!

In any event, since I've been dealing with my computers breakdown, my life is running at a slower pace;  I feel like a child with tangled hair in her face...but, the more I try to brush it, the wackier it gets.

In closing, I hope you will bare with the wackiness a little longer- (At least until I get the tangles out.)

For example, due to how impressed I was with your answers, and I don't want to take any attention away from them, I'm going to post last Tuesday's Questions answers this afternoon, and post my regular Tuesday's Question next week .

Please remember I'm still blogging, it's just that my computer thinks it rules the world, for instance, at this moment it's telling me to "restart now," although I keep hitting the button that politely asks if I would like to "restart later."

So, you see, if  I'm not posting or visiting, remember it's my computers fault, and things will be back to normal soon.

Look for the answers to the last Tuesday's Question this afternoon....they are soooo impressive.

Annie, I know what you mean about computers. Mine had to have the mother board replaced( whatever that means) and I went 9 days without my computer. It was a very dark and dreadful time for me.

Have a great day and "Don't worry, Be happy". Life is sorta like that.

Time for a new 'puter. We are so dependent on them now, aren't we? When I was volunteering in the Computer Room at the senior center, a very elderly gent said to me "The internet has opened a whole new world for me"...

We have three computers so that's been a God send. I got a bad virus this spring and thank goodness I had a backup computer. I hope you get your computer issues straightened out soon.

Have a terrific day. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)

You are so correct, computers should know they need more room way sooner than the hoooomans know. Someone needs to make a program where we can ask the oomputer, just what in he&^%$# do you need now. Smile.

Bad computer!!!

I think it's a computer and hairbrush conspiracy.

Love this! "I feel like a child with tangled hair in her face...but, the more I try to brush it, the wackier it gets."

I can so relate. I keep finding spoons in my purse. I eat yogurt for lunch at work, rinse off the spoons, stick them into my purse, and forget about them until my open purse falls out of my car, landing upside down onto the Starbuck's parking lot.

Just dropping by to adgitize.

I hate it when my comp breaks down to. Thankfully, we have 2 pcs and a lappy, and I almost ALWAYS save on at least 2 hard disks. I remember the first time I had a virus and it crashed, my newborns baby was in that pc and I panicked so bad. Good thing hubby found a way to recover them.

Hope you get it fixed though. Have a great week!

Okay Annie...are you going to post a Tuesday's question? I hope everything is okay in your world. Big hug. :)

Did you strangle your computer yet?

aniceplaceinthesun.blogspot.com said...

Pam- Oh no...I hope you don't have to have anything fixed, but the Mother Board sounds downright petrifying!

I have spent months and money on this computer. Everyone keeps telling me to "Just sell it," but a new one would cost a good bit more, and now, it's well!!!!

I know I wrote it before, but this time it should be official. I've had it wiped, so all of my manuscripts everything is on a memory stick.

I still have to add more ram, but I'll worry about that later.

Thanks for hanging in here with me...and I will take your advice to "Don't worry, Be happy" and you're right, life is "sorta like that!"

Grace, I know, I know, that's what many a friend has said, but I made it! All I have to say is thanks to Dell's extended warranty.

I had to use the library computer a few times, and I missed all of you, plus writing late at night...so I'm gonna have to give in and say, I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT MY COMPUTER.

There I said it, and I feel sorry for the way I treated it (him) all of these years...;(

And...in all seriousness, God Bless the elderly gent at the senior center, and God Bless you for volunteering.

Alright, mush out~

I'll be by directly~

Hugs~ Annie

P.S. I'm not sure if you know it or not, (because you're a clever lady) but, I wanted to point out that us "younger" generation of Southerners, use the word "soon" instead of "directly" these days, well, I guess some of us do.

I used it for fun, because it reminds me of my grandmother.

Hi Annie! I'm waiting for your tuesday question (guess im two days early:-))...
Thanks for the nice comments in my blog...mwahhh

Sandee, Geez, If I had known that you had three computers, Simon and I would have been over to your house weeks ago. (laughing)

I hate those virus' they're terrible evil things. I didn't even know that I had one, until I contacted Dell. My virus protector didn't find them...that scares me.

I think I finally got it straightened out though...finally, I renew my warranty with Dell, and they've been super.

I'm still low on memory, but I can take care of that and work too, so I'm delighted.

I'm sorry it's been so messed up around here. I keep trying to post, return comments, and visit, but then it would crash, etc...you know the story.

Which is one reason I'm answering this comment late, and I'm going to answer your latest comment here too.-

I am going to post a Tuesday's Question this Tuesday! And I'm going to find a way to commend you for your last answer. Thank you so much for your support. I smiled when I read your interest in Tuesday's Question. I have thought of a lot of good ones too, so get ready.

I will post the next question next Tuesday the 9th of November, and I love ya for asking.

I hope everything is right with your world too.

Big hug and lotsa lovies back to you~

Dawn, Hey You, Your picture makes me smile- It looks like you...I know we've never seen each other, but somehow it looks like you to me...I mean, I know it is you, but the spirit of you, or the authentic you...Oh, come on, some of you need to help me out, or I'm gonna sound a little COO-COO Clock.

In any event, it just goes to show that there is more to us than what meets the eye...

Dawn, I bet other friends of yours who are reading this, (and you know you are) are thinking the same thing..."Yeah, that picture does fit Dawn."

I have a photo I need to scan for you...it's of two empty beach chairs under an umbrella in the sand, on the shoreline.

Anyway, I'm glad I made you smile, and my computer is in working order...I'm back~

Luvs Ya too,

Lauren, Laughing...I know. I have a bad computer, and if there was such a thing as time out for computers he (you know it's a he) would stay in there forever!

And, you know....maybe it is a conspiracy...between the hairbrush and him, Hmmm

Well, at least I can throw the hairbrush out the window!

She's easier to replace, which I'm sure were his thoughts exactly.

Thank you for the compliment on my temper tantrum words. I was delighted.

And as you know, I laughed for days about your spoons...

And no, I haven't strangled him yet, laughing...Dell rescued him, and you know what? I cannot find my hairbrush. Maybe she ran away with a spoon...

Hmmmm

Smile~

Thank you Kat for your support and great comment.

Golly, it sounds like you had your hands full...I remember when my son was little, I used to wish I had two sets of hands.

At least I learned a valuable lesson, to back up my hard drive. Can you believe I'm a professional writer and I've never done that! Oh...I shouldn't even admit it.

Anyway, thanks for the visit, and I will be by to meet Momsy,Katsy,@ my tots.

Have a terrific day!
