LaShan, It's a good one. Paul Newman has a small part in it too.

I have an award? Wow! Thank you LaShan. I will be by to see it.
I just finished replying to your comment on my other post. Laughing...

I love this movie too Annie and I have a great story to go with it.

This movie was actually filmed in Maine about 2 miles from where we lived.

The little diner you see them visiting all the time is actually called Shaw's wharf and is located on the Pemaquid peninsula.

I was working in one of the restaurants just up the road then named The Samoset. they have since sold and changed the name.

We served the crew almost everyday for their lunch and even catered the food once for one of the shots.

Also they tested all locals for parts and Walter was picked to be Paul Newman's stand in. but, even though the pay was $250 a day Walter wouldn't shave his beard.

Oh Annie I got to see both Newman and Costner very close up. it was really exciting!!

Great pick! Wow you brought back a flood of fun and wonderful memories.

Oh yes the diner on the pier which is white in the movie was painted by the production company.

Normally it is red. It's a real hot spot in the summer time for tourists and locals.

They have fabulous fresh seafood. And the most wonderful outdoor oyster bar with an incredible view!!

Wow we've been there literally hundreds of times!! I could go on and on about this movie but don't want to bore everyone to death.

Hugs and Happy MM Annie!!:-)

Hey Grace, Same to you. We lost utilities today, for some unknown reason, so I'm sorry I'm answering this comment so late in the day.

It was sweet of you to stop by and wish everyone a wonderful week. I wish one for you as well. :))

I think you brought me luck. Because it's all uphill from here...:)))

Big hug,

Annie

Sandee, You don't know how happy it makes me feel to hear you say that.

You're an extremely lucky lady, but then, I cannot think of anyone who deserves it more. And I don't think it's weird that you you're not into television or movies. There is a lot of junk out there.

I'm more of a reader myself, but I do enjoy films that are written well. (Especially ones with Kevin Costner) Smile.

I'm sorry it took me so long to respond, I've been offline most of the day. It's so hot, we lost utilities in some places. Now , that's weird...LOL.

Have a great week~

Big hug and lotsa lovies back~
