How young he was then...unfortunately though...sometimes loving is the hardest thing we ever do. How are you doing Annie? Miss you every day..lots of hugs and an enormous sloppy doggy kiss...mumwhaa

How true about how young he was -so many things changed over the years but I still love his music very much. And, when it started to play on my computer, my little grandson was zipping around the room but he heard the music start and came over to me, crawled up in my lap and sat here, listening and mezmerized by Kris Kristofferson! The little guy has excellent taste don't 'cha think?

Absolutely my favorite Kris song. Pure poetry for me...

I have seen the morning burning golden on the mountains in the skies.
Achin' with the feelin' of the freedom of an eagle when she flies.

Remind me to tell you about my Kris parties ;)

Sending good thoughts and lotsa luv your way :)))

They don't make them like that anymore.
I still like the look and sound of that era ... of course todays music mostly confuses me with the overproduced and multitrack mixing.

Plug em in and play :-)

Hey Maunie, I miss you too. I'm sorry I haven't replied to your comments.

I went home from the hospital too early the first time, so I unfortunately had to return for more torture.

Coming home and seeing how many times you and others have checked on me in my absence, touched me in ways I cannot articulate. Let's just say all of you are fabulous people and I'm grateful you still remember me. :)) Especially since the same post has been up for awhile.

But, at least Kris is easy on the eyes and ears isn't he?

What a man.

Maunie, you're the greatest.

Enormous sloppy doggy kiss back to ya~

And a huge e-hug. :)))

Jeni, I definitely do think your grandson has excellent taste. There are many great songwriters, but I've yet to find one I love as much as Kris. I discovered him when I was thirteen years old and learning to play the guitar. At first, I rolled my eyes at my guitar teacher, that is, until I heard the lyrics, or him period.

I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm glad you stopped by to visit.

Have a great day~

Sandee, You are amazing. Thank you for checking on me. It's always nice to know that your missed and cared about when you do not feel well.

As I told Maunie, I had to return to the hospital, but I didn't want to write another "hospital post."

However, if I would have known how long I would be gone, I would have let you know. I'm sorry. I had my boyfriend post Kris (Although I'm taking credit for it.) because I was under the impression I would be home sooner.

Plus, I want to tell you I have a great Tuesday's Question this Tuesday, so put on your thinking cap~:))

You're an incredible friend, and I appreciate you.

Big Hug and lots of lovies back to you, pal.

Dawn, You know all the words too! ;)

I love how you wrote them in your comment.

I have seen the morning burning golden on the mountains in the skies.
Achin' with the feelin' of the freedom of an eagle when she flies.

Can you believe how well he can write? It's as if the good lord kissed him on the head.

Plus, as I wrote to Maunie, he's easy on the eyes and ears.

I still can't wait to hear about your Kris parties.

Thank you Dawn for being you and for being here for all of us in so many ways. I needed a friend and you were there. I really think great friend is one of the greatest gifts we can receive. Bless you~

Sandee, Do you see why I think you're amazing? Stopping by and leaving a comment on the same post four times is giving away how compassionate you are, as well as an unbelievable friend.

Thank you for awarding me Brillante Weblog Award. I can't wait to see what it is, and will travel your way shortly.

You're the best~

Tess, Well, I feel honored to have introduced him to you. I had a guitar teacher start me out on his songs.

I think I should probably look that teacher up and buy him dinner. Plus, if you liked that song, he has more where it came from... Thanks for visiting. :))

And have a great day~

Eric, you are so right. They certainly don't make them like him anymore.

And todays music mostly "confuses me" (laughing) too.

(laughing) And I love this..."Plug em in and play."

Thanks for visiting Eric. You're one of my favorite people.

Thanks for the smile. By the way, what song is in your head today?

Huge hug~

Annie
