Tuesday's Question: What Was Your First Thought When You Woke up This Morning?

What Was Your First Thought When You Woke up This Morning?

Hello, and welcome to A Nice Place In The Sun and Tuesday's Question. I try to post a question every Tuesday to get to know my readers better, play with my online friends, and hopefully attract more visitors to my online home.

Here's Grace from Dragon's Alley answer:

"OMG - Look at how late it is!"

And Sandee from Comedy Plus:  -Who I might add's comments are as great as her blog.-

"Oh my mind is working overtime most of the time, so I had lots of thoughts.

First, I need to go to the bathroom.

Turn on the computer.

Coffee.

I need to put linky's on my Silly Sunday post.

What do I have to do today....oh, nails, toes and grocery shopping.

Well, you get the idea.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and scritches to Simon. ♥♥♥"

I misunderstood Grace of Dragon's Alley answer, so she was kind enough to leave another comment;

"No - that was my first thought when I opened my eyes. I hate when I sleep in. Once up I have no intelligible thoughts for at least an hour, unless something in the newspaper irks me."

Thanks to you both for taking the time to answer, and to the rest of you, remember it's never too late to answer Tuesday's Question.

The Other Side Of Heaven

Hey, how have you been?

This post is dedicated to Sandee of Comedy Plus, her "hubby," whose heartfelt post inspired me, and to their little dog "Little Bit," who they lost recently. Please stop by Comedy Plus, if you haven't already, and read Sandee's husbands post.

 The Other Side Of  Heaven

We often think of going to heaven, but we seldom consider the fact that heaven comes to us.  I think it’s because we’re not paying attention to the gifts we see around us every day.
For example, people say “money doesn’t grow on trees,” when, in fact, we have oranges, apples, and the other kind of foods that literally fall from our trees, not the grocery store.

Silly Sunday! Poo Poo And Poo Poo Boudreaux

Silly Sunday is a weekly post from Sandee at Comedy Plus, and to paraphrase her,
"Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs. The rules are simple, just have fun.
This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process."

All you have to do is post a silly post and add the link to your post on Sandee's blog, (I do not have the code.)

Here's my contribution entitled, Poo Poo and Poo Poo Boudreaux.

Once there were two Cajun twins, who wore the same clothes, never went anywhere without the other, and even shared their first and last name.  Their names were Poo, Poo Boudreaux. When the boys were small, and really even into adulthood they were bullied about their name.

Silly Sunday! "Writing's Powerful Message"

There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed a desire to become a "great" writer.

Angels On Earth

Lost inside a state of mental and physical exhaustion, I prayed to meet an angel on earth, then, I felt the pillow of a horses mouth gently sweep grass from the palm of my hand. – Ann Clemmons

Motherhood is an art impossible to explain, one which requires a vast sea of love, devotion, compassion, and understanding, unmatched by any affection we will ever know again.- Ann Clemmons

Words-

Words are the core of our souls, without written, vocal or lyrical expression we lose sight of one another or worse, ourselves. Words bring forth the essence of the human spirit; so express yourself without abandon.

Favorite Phrase

I remember I used to half believe and wholly play with fairies when I was a child. What heaven can be more real than to retain the spirit-world of childhood, tempered and balanced by knowledge and common-sense...

The Storyteller, by Dawn Drover

Alone in her world
of make believe
weaving her stories
of magic and light

She brings joy
to the eyes
of innocent minds
less jaded and free

For only they know
what's in her heart
holding the secrets
she guards so well

Life's hidden mysteries
belong to those
whose wisdom and truth
shine on in imagination

In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I’ve been turning over in my mind ever since.
