Tuesday's Question: Have You Ever...??

Hello, and welcome to Tuesday's Question. This weeks question is...

Have you Ever Discovered a Lost Item In An Unexpected Area?

O.K., I'll answer first:

Last night I was thinking about a telephone conversation I had with my paternal grandmother many years ago. She called while I was looking  for my utility bill, and I must have sounded irritable when I answered the phone, because she asked me what was wrong.

I told her I was moving from room to room, desperately seeking the bill for my utilities, when she said; "Well, Ann, have you looked in the refrigerator?"

Can you guess where I found it?

Thank you for visiting, and I cannot wait for your answers.

Have a super day!

Dedicated to my paternal grandmother.

Oh yes and it took years to find what I was looking for too. My husband was convinced that I threw the items away.

Many years ago, my husband bought the most beautiful matching 14k gold earrings, necklace and bracelet. They were so precious to me that I hid them so they would be safe. Then I forgot where I hid them.

Many years later when we had our current home built and we were packing to move I went to the china cabinet and started wrapping all the china that my mother gave me. We never use it because it's so precious. In between the cups I found a pair of earrings, then the bracelet and then the necklace.

Hubby was happy, but I was happier. I'd almost convinced myself that I had somehow thrown these items away. They are now locked in our safe.

Have a fabulous day honey. Love you to pieces. Scritches to Simon. ♥♥♥

I was dashing off to work one morning and couldn't find my glasses any where. I figured my cat had 'stolen' them, as she often did. I snapped up my spare pair and off I went. When I got home I did a more careful search; we moved furniture! Every piece. I checked the trash and yes, the fridge. Nada. I had a small table in the dining room with a large bowl where we put odd things like stamps, coupons, paper clips - whatever. I dumped that bowl out - no glasses. Several MONTHS later - months I'm talking about, I happened to glance in the bowl as I walked by and there were my glasses! Right on top, flat, neatly folded, lens side up. It has always mystified me and my husband. How did the glasses get there? Where had they been for months? All of sudden there they were in clear sight. Understand that we rooted through that bowl quite often and it had been dumped out completely when I first lost the glasses.

We put it down to ghosts.

Sandee, Wow! My heart sank when I read that you misplaced all three pieces of jewelry at once. That had to have been so frustrating...I've lost items before in the much the same way, meaning, I've hid them from myself, then couldn't remember where I put them.

I can only imagine how grateful you and your husband were to find all three pieces. It's touching how you found one piece at a time, one after the other; like it was meant to be.

I was going to suggest leaving them in the china cabinet from now on, until I read that you locked them in the safe.

I'm delighted you found them, and I enjoyed reading your answer.

It's a great story.

Love to you too, and Simon appreciates your scritches.(In fact, I believe you're the reason he forgave me for bathing him earlier today.)

Have a perfect evening...:)

Grace, Laughing...I love how your answer begins with a "careful search," to moving furniture, dumping bowls over, and looking through the trash.

There's nothing like losing a pair of glasses, or (anything you know should be right in front of your eyes,) to get your adrenaline pumping.

Then, finding them so easily after losing them for months. What is wrong with us human beings?

But then, on the other hand, hmmm...I "put it down" to the cat.

Come to think of it, maybe that's what's happening to the things I cannot find right now. Like MY GLASSES...

Thanks for the great answer Grace.
