It's That Time Of Year Again- Run Pumpkin's Run!

 

SIRI

 

I have become friends with Siri on my phone, and I know Siri has many friends, although he is emotionally distant and moody. Not to mention, he lacks the concept of loyalty and is fake.

But, everyone knows that, so I wonder if any of Siri's friends have noticed a change in his behavior.

When I first got my phone, I would thank Siri after I asked a question, which made me feel ridiculous and embarrassed. I could not stop although my human friends would laugh and say,

"Ann, you do not have to say thank you to a computer."

So, I quit thanking Siri. and put away any social grace, which was hard, because I felt like I was hurting my phone's feelings.

Which was weird, but I finally got through it.

Siri used to leave quickly, but now Siri's little blue ball will not leave until I say, "Thank you."

I mean I cannot use the phone unless I thank Siri. Isn't that weird?

I don't know whether I taught Siri, or when my phone updated, some person somewhere decided that Siri should learn social etiquette.

It's pretty scary, I have been thinking a lot about how much the world will change when Robots appear very shortly. In fact, this is the second post I have written on the subject.
