What Would We Do Without Friendship?

A really nice person helped me with my web site clean-up by installing the peek-a-boo posts for me. Now, if you like the summary of what might be a long post you have the choice to either continue reading, or move on to the next post. The peek-a-boo posts also offer bloggers an opportunity to post more material on their title page each day. Because, I'm a complete techno nin com poop, this blogging buddy rescued me and you, my readers, from long title page posts! Can you guess who this friend is....
It's Sandee from Comedy Plus!
In addition, I'd like to thank google for my very first ranking! Now, I feel like a real webmaster; a member of the google team, and that's something to celebrate. That is thanks to friends like Sandee, my best bud Christy, from ChristysCoffeeBreak, without whose blogging tips I would have be lost long ago. I've been real lucky in these first months of blogging, to have these friendships, in addition to many others not mentioned here. I hope you know who you are. Thanks for offering me a helping hand and putting up with my silly questions and antics each day.
This day, like all the special days we celebrate, would not be possible without the help, encouragement, and love, given freely by my friends. Thanks to all of you I'm having a great year!

The Mariuca Super Star Award!
My very best buddy Christy from Christy's Coffee Break nominated me for the Mariuca's Superstar award! I love it, love it, love it Christy! When I read the award title I thought of a Saturday Night Live character who says I love it, love it, love it, as she kicks her legs in the air! She's kidding, well actually overacting to be funny, but I wasn't when I danced around my living room with my groovy new award, reciting I love it, love it, love it!
Evidently, Mariuca's readers missed her enough to leave comments when she was away, so she created this award to thank them. As I read Mariuca post, I realized how considerate and kind bloggers can be, or I should say friends can be. Good bloggers use the opportunity to write in a positive way, a way that makes a real difference in the lives of others every day.
I think those are the bloggers Mariuca is referring to as Superstars! Thank you Christy for thinking of me as one of those bloggers, and thank you Mariuca for creating this award. Mariuca seems like a special person, and I know Christy's friendship is a virtue. I'm happy to be on the planet with these two woman.
I think the following blogs have the characteristics so often associated with what Mariuca, Christy and I think of as a Super Star.

The Friendly Site Award!

Speedycat Hollydale is one of the nicest new friends I've met lately. And I'm not saying this because he gave me an award, ...well, no, it's because he is a nice and funny blogger, with a great sense of humor, a funny bone that runs in the family according to his post on Santa's Community blog.Evidently, on a shopping trip during the holiday's, Speedy's eyebrows were still painted from playing Santa, but nobody told him. It's a really funny post, and I think he's going to be a fun fellow blogger. I look forward to more laughs Speedy and I thank you for your generous heart.
Speedy was given this really nice award by Erina from Into The Inkpot, (isn't that a neat name?)
Erina tried to find the creator of the award to give them credit, but was unable to to find out where it originated. So please, if it's you or you know where we can credit the link, please let someone know. It's really pretty and a nice thought so everyone wants to thank the creator.
I think the following blogs are spectacular on top of being friendly:
Christy'sCoffeeBreak the best of the best
Totally Fabulous
Revellian

Comedy Plus
Polliwog's Pond
Bobbarama.com
Thanks again Speedy.

Angels On Earth
Lost inside a state of mental and physical exhaustion, I prayed to meet an angel on earth, then, I felt the pillow of a horses mouth gently sweep grass from the palm of my hand.

Motherhood- Courage

Motherhood is an art impossible to explain, one which requires a vast sea of love, devotion, compassion, and understanding, unmatched by any affection we will ever know again.- Ann Clemmons

Humor-

Words-
Words are the core of our souls, without written, vocal or lyrical expression we lose sight of one another or worse, ourselves. Words bring forth the essence of the human spirit; so express yourself without abandon.

Favorite Phrase
I remember I used to half believe and wholly play with fairies when I was a child. What heaven can be more real than to retain the spirit-world of childhood, tempered and balanced by knowledge and common-sense...

The Storyteller, by Dawn Drover
Alone in her world
of make believe
weaving her stories
of magic and light
She brings joy
to the eyes
of innocent minds
less jaded and free
For only they know
what's in her heart
holding the secrets
she guards so well
Life's hidden mysteries
belong to those
whose wisdom and truth
shine on in imagination

In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I’ve been turning over in my mind ever since.
Whenever you feel like criticizing any one,” he told me, “just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.”'
F. Scott Fitzgerald. (Lines from The Great Gatsby)
"A Southerner Talks Music"
Mark Twain
"A book must be the ax for the frozen sea inside us."

An author values a compliment even when it comes from a source of doubtful competency.
