James Stewart Kills Time In Rear Window- This Saturday's Favorite Movie Moment

This Saturday's Favorite movie moment is actually a short documentary with commentaries about the films plot, sub-plot, protagonist, supporting characters, and famous director Alfred Hitchcock.

Have a happy Saturday and I hope you enjoy this Saturday's Favorite movie moment or moments or documentary- And if you haven't seen this film and your not absolutely busy doing something else, go and rent it- I can't think of a better way to kill time.

  2. LOVE the movie! My parents were huge Hitchcock fans when I was a kid, and I've seen Rear Window many times. It is a suspenseful classic, still amazing after all these years. Hitchcock loved Jimmy Stewart, and this movie is a good example why he did.

To answer your song question, I've been singing Sarah McLachlan's "Sweet Surrender" all day and learning it on my guitar.

    Have a nice weekend, Annie!

You're parents love for Hitchcock must have been fantastic for you. I watched them with my son too when he was younger.

Years ago, one of my drama professors asked the class on the first day what our favorite movie of all time was and everyone said 'Gone With The Wind', but when I uttered 'Rear Window', my classmates looked at me in unison and asked, "What movie is that?" That was in 1983.

Isn't that a shame? Right then and there I immediately decided my children would watch every Hitchcock movie I could find, and we had a blast.

I can only imagine watching the films in the theater and my parents being fans- that's cool.

And yes, he did love Jimmy Stewart and yes this movie is a great example of why he did- as is Vertigo.

Everything about Hitchcock's movies were perfect, but Rear Window is my favorite.

I also play the guitar and you made me want to learn "Sweet Surrender." It's a great song. I found the lyrics and tabulature to Sarah McLachlan's Sweet Surrender on Guitar.com. Here's the link: http://guitar.about.com/od/individualsongtablyrics/p/Sweet_Surrender.htm

    It's on guitar.com

Now that song will be in my head all day.

Thanks for stopping by Rock Star~

And by the way, I like that you called me Annie out of the blue like that. It's funny because all of my close friends, well... just about everyone with the exception of friends on the internet call me Annie. Isn't that bizarre?

So yes, it's fine that you call me Annie and thank you for asking.

Rock Star is the new affectionate reference I've been using lately, although I think you may really be a Rock Star-

Hence, have a great and fun day, Rock Star~

    Cheers~ Annie
